Factory Monoblock Conversion for DNA-125

You have asked for a high power mono amplifier as a companion center channel amp for a DNA-500 running left and right front speakers. In response, Steve McCormack has come up with a conversion that modifies a DNA-125 into a mono amplifier that matches the gain of a DNA-500 and produces a rated power of 400 watts. While quite similar in circuit to one channel of the DNA-500 and an excellent match for a center channel application, note that the DNA-500 should be preferred to a pair of DNA-125 Monoblocks in a stereo application due to differences in execution (6 pairs of output devices per channel vs.4, upgraded resistors, upgraded wiring favor the DNA-500). Price for the conversion is $400. Top of Page

The "R1" upgrade includes fitting a new main printed circuit board and reworking the output pc boards. Prices for the R1 upgrade: $600 to upgrade a DNA-0.5, $800 for a DNA-1 Standard, and $700 for a DNA-1 Deluxe. Top of Page
